Vine Tax & Advisory (“Vine”, “we”) is a sole proprietorship operated by James Akinyemi, CPA, in Barrie, Ontario. We collect only the personal information needed to provide our services and meet our professional and legal obligations, in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and the CPA Ontario Code of Professional Conduct.

What this website collects

• Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number, the type of client you are, the service you need and your message, so that we can respond.
• Booking: if you book a consultation, the details you enter in our scheduling tool.
• This website does not use advertising trackers. If we add website analytics in future, we'll update this policy first.

Tax and financial documents

Tax and financial documents are collected only through a secure method we share with you after you engage us, never through this website or its contact form. Please don't send your SIN, tax slips or account numbers by regular email.

Service providers

We use a small number of service providers to run this website. They process limited information on our behalf:

• Netlify hosts this website and receives contact form submissions.
• Calendly handles consultation bookings.
• Google Fonts and Unsplash deliver fonts and some images, which means your browser connects to their servers and shares your IP address with them.

Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada.

How we use and keep information

We use your information only to respond to you and to provide the services you engage us for. We do not sell or rent personal information. Client files are retained for at least six years after the period they relate to, as CRA requires, and then securely destroyed.
