Pricing

Clear fees, agreed up front.

We don't publish a single price list, because two returns that look alike can involve very different work. Instead, every engagement gets a fixed fee, quoted after your consultation and confirmed in writing before we start.

What affects the fee

Priced by the work your file needs.

These are the main things we look at when we quote.

Personal returnsThe number of slips and income sources; capital gains, foreign income or foreign property reporting; whether we prepare a spouse's or family members' returns together; and any prior years that need catching up.
Self-employed and rental returnsThese take more work because each needs its own statement (T2125 for a business, T776 for a rental), expense review, vehicle and home office calculations, capital cost allowance, and often GST/HST. The fee depends on the number of businesses or properties and how organized the records are.
Corporate returnsThe size and activity of the business, the quality of the year-end bookkeeping, payroll and dividend slips, GST/HST filings, related or holding companies, and any planning at year-end.
CRA supportThe type of letter or review, the number of years involved, and how much documentation needs to be gathered.
Advisory and reportingOne-off projects are quoted on their scope. Ongoing reporting and advisory is a monthly retainer based on how often we meet and what we deliver.
